Currently, Dave is writing a musical based on his own experience after suffering a spinal cord injury in 2005.  This semiautobiographical work, entitled "Facing The Music," features an inspirational, humorous, and compelling story that touches on his difficult but meaningful journey.  It is a deeply moving narrative that explores the themes of forgiveness and unconditional love.    

The opening number of the musical, “Life Behind The Wheel” was awarded a Silver Medal for Outstanding Achievement from the Global Music Awards in 2021.
